A film director decides to shoot at the Cité Picasso in Boulogne-sur-Mer (north of France). He holds a casting session, looking for atypical personalities: school dropouts, ADHD sufferers, foster children, young people leaving care... He chooses two girls and two boys, Lily, Maylis, Jessy and Ryan. Everyone is astonished by this choice: why did he only take "the worst ones"? The local associations are worried about the unattainable hopes that the easy life of a film crew represents, and the filmmaker is worried about reinforcing the stereotypes he wanted to denounce.

Winner of "Un Certain Regard"' award at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, this movie make us feel as if we broke into the daily lives of those children, whose actors, acclaimed by the critics, give us a raw and beautiful performance. It tackles a fundamental cinematic dilemma : How can we not sublimate misery while putting it under the limelight ? A poignant and brutally sincere movie.
