Mehdi is looking forward to a peaceful summer at his fiancée’s luxurious family villa. But his holiday takes an unexpected turn when a dispute erupts between her relatives and the villa’s caretakers. Coming from a modest background, Mehdi naively believes he can mediate and restore harmony, until the situation spirals out of control in a whirlwind of class clashes and escalating absurdity.

The Party's Over, directed by Antony Cordier, premiered at the Directors’ Fortnight 2025. Its impressive cast includes Laurent Lafitte (Elle, Au revoir là-haut), Élodie Bouchez, winner of the César Award for Best Actress for The Dreamlife of Angels (1999), Laure Calamy, César winner for My Donkey, My Lover and I (2021), and acclaimed comedian Ramzy Bedia. The film has been nominated at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival for the Directors' fortnight audience reward. Comedy at its best, with a sprinkle of societal comment in which no one is left unscathed.
