Paul is an ordinary man who divides his life between his shipbuilding company, his wife Elise and their daughter Mia. During a routine sea voyage, he encounters a mysterious meteorological phenomenon. From then on, Paul shrinks inexorably, without science being able to explain why or what would be of any help to him. By accident, he finds himself a prisoner in his own cellar, a world that suddenly becomes vast and dangerous. Paul must fight to survive while confronting his deepest fears, his humanity, and the meaning of existence itself.

The Incredible Shrinking Man, directed by Jan Kounen, is a French adaptation of the classic American science-fiction movie The Incredible Shrinking Man (1957). It stars Jean Dujardin, Academy Award winner for The Artist, and Marie-Josée Croze, César-winning actress for The Barbarian Invasions.
