Join us before the screening for a 30min-special conversation (in English) led by French oceanographer Caroline Paugam. In this 20min-talk, Caroline will dive into the “Plastic Continents”, vast ocean zones where plastic waste gathers due to swirling currents called gyres. As of 2025, an estimated 75 to 199 million tonnes of plastic are floating in our oceans, much of it concentrated in these areas. She’ll explore how they form, why they matter, and what we can do to tackle this global issue. This will be followed by a 10-min Q&A.
