The Plastic Odyssey project is an international expedition focused on combating plastic pollution. It involves a unique vessel that travels around the world to promote low-tech, open-source recycling solutions. By stopping in coastal cities across developing countries, the project supports local communities in transforming plastic waste into valuable resources, raising awareness, and fostering a global network of circular economy innovators.
Directed by Pierre de Parscau and Olivia Schaller and produced by Les Gens Bien Production and Plastic Odyssey, the film traces the origins of the Plastic Odyssey project, chronicles the years of construction of its expedition vessel, and follows three key stopovers during its journey: in Lebanon, Senegal, and Guinea.
