Ocean: Diving into the unknown invites you on a an immersive journey into the depths of the ocean, a realm where myth, visual poetry, and science intertwine. Designed and produced by the French National Museum of Natural History and hosted at Alliance Française as part of the French Excellence program and the vOilah! France Singapore Festival, this exhibition celebrates France’s rich maritime heritage. 

Discover how the ocean has inspired legendary tales and iconic works by French authors like Jules Verne's Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, shaping the imagination of men and women for generations. Trace the footsteps of pioneering French explorers and scientists whose discoveries have help unveil the ocean’s secrets, and marvel at the enigmatic flora and fauna that inhabit the deep. 

While recognizing the wonders underneath, Ocean also shines a light on the vital role of this ecosystem for our planet and the urgent environmental challenges threatening this natural treasure today.

Join us as we dive beneath the waves, where mystery, beauty and innovation come together. The exhibition is a call to celebrate the ocean’s enduring influence on culture and knowledge, as well as its vital importance to our planet.
