Following a car accident, Suzanne loses custody of her three children. She has no choice but to enter a rehabilitation center for alcoholics. Shortly after her arrival, she meets Alice and Diane, two strong-willed women… Denis, a sports instructor, will try to bring them together around a common goal: participating in the Dunes Rally across the Moroccan desert. He will need a great deal of patience and teaching skills to prepare this unlikely team to achieve their objective.

The film Better Days was presented in a preview screening at the Alpe d’Huez Festival 2025. It brings together three renowned French actresses: Valérie Bonneton, who plays Suzanne, was nominated for the César Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2011 for Les Petits Mouchoirs; Michèle Laroque, in the role of Alice, was nominated for the César Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1993 for La Crise; and Sabrina Ouazani, portraying Diane, was nominated for the César Award for Most Promising Actress in 2005 for her role in Abdellatif Kechiche’s Jeux d’enfants.
