On Thursday 2  May  2024, Alliance Française de Singapour had the pleasure of hosting an unforgettable evening during the unveiling of our latest exhibition, a heartfelt tribute to the legacy of Antoine de Saint Exupéry, which will run from Friday 3 May to Wednesday 31 July 2024. An unprecedented exhibition featuring original artifacts, not to be missed.

Entitled "WHEN A PRINCE TAKES A FLIGHT", this exhibition is dedicated to exploring the remarkable life and contributions of Saint Exupéry.

It offers visitors a unique opportunity to delve deep into the captivating world of this celebrated author and aviator, allowing them to trace his adventures, understand his wartime experiences, and appreciate his profound literary impact. An privileged exhibition with original artifacts including personal belongings, from his war coat to his satchel, original editions of his literary masterpieces, hand-drawn sketches of the Little Prince, and the chain bracelet found at sea on the site of his plane crash.

the exhibition has received the prestigious label Mission Libération from the French government and was created in collaboration with the Saint Exupéry Youth Foundation and co-curated by Alexandre Tanase, the Foundation's archives manager.

We were honored to have Olivier d'Agay, the grandnephew of Antoine de Saint Exupéry. He deliver a heartfelt speech during this opening event, adding a personal touch to the evening's festivities.

With heartfelt sincerity, he shared anecdotes, insights, and reflections on the legacy of his illustrious ancestor. His speech not only shed light on Saint Exupéry's literary brilliance and adventurous spirit but also offered intimate glimpses into the man behind the iconic stories.
