🎈 Open Day 2025 at Alliance Française: A Day to Explore, Learn, and Enjoy
On Sunday 20 July, Alliance Française de Singapour welcomed visitors of all ages for a special Open Day, a full day of free activities to discover the French language and culture in all its diversity.
🎁 A Warm Welcome at the lobby, and a chance to win
With activities happening across multiple spaces, visitors could freely explore at their own pace. As a bonus, guests who took part in at least two activities were invited to return to our Welcome Desk for a spin of the prize wheel, with a variety of gifts to be won:
- French sweet treats
Surprise goodies such as a macaron-scented candle, a squeezie croissant, or one Alliance Française merchandise
A movie voucher offering two free tickets to any film screening at Alliance Française until July 2026
A class voucher worth $100 off a future course

🌊 OCEAN Guided tours, Storytellings and Books
At the bookshop, children gathered for a bilingual storytelling session, alternating between French and English to bring stories to life for all listeners.
Meanwhile, the book fair showcased a wide selection of French titles for all ages, from illustrated books and novels to language learning resources.
🥂 Quizz and Happy Hour
To round off the day, visitors joined us for a relaxed Happy Hour, complete with a French-themed quiz, a friendly moment to wind down, test a bit of cultural knowledge, and enjoy good conversation over a glass of wine.

📚 Discover French through Trial classes
Throughout the day, we offered a wide range of free French trial classes:
For children, sessions were themed around art and music.
Teens explored French in engaging workshops adapted to their interests.
Adults were invited to join one-hour introductory lessons to get a feel for learning French at Alliance Française.
Each session gave participants a chance to meet our teachers, discover our pedagogy, and enjoy a moment of learning, all in French.
🥞 Cook and Speak: French in the Kitchen
Language met cuisine in two hands-on cooking workshops, where participants learned to make crêpes and madeleines, all while practicing French. These friendly, interactive sessions offered a fun and delicious way to experience the language in context.

🎶 Music and films
Culture was also in the spotlight with a rich line-up of artistic moments:
A live concert brought rhythm and atmosphere to the day, inviting audiences to relax and enjoy music together.
In our theatre, guests enjoyed two screenings: the whimsical animated film Sirocco and the Kingdom of the Winds for children, and the impactful French drama Goliath for adults.

Merci à tous !
